ABOUT FREND LIGHTING

Frend Lighting Industries Pty Ltd was incorporated in January 1996 by founding directors, Richard Fitzgibbons and Noel Evans, as a luminaire manufacturing company. Experience gained by each of the directors in this endeavour over some thirty years previously, was indispensable in laying the foundations of the business.

Frend commenced operation at Acacia Ridge in Brisbane's south employing a small but dedicated staff of eight pioneers.

In November 1998 Frend was outgrowing the original facility and moved the operation to new premises at No 14 Jaybel St., Salisbury.

Eight years on, further expansion of the business necessitated new premises to be created next door at No 10 Jaybel St. This effectively doubled the production area, and through thoughtful planning, has streamlined the luminaire manufacturing process.

As Frend continues to grow it employs some thirty seven staff and occupies a significant role in the light fitting supply industry. Advances through the use of computer controlled machinery and processes has sped up our response times and also streamlined our commitment to customer's needs.

Frends continual adoption of state of the art lighting technologies has proven to be the key to the success it enjoys today.
